Job Description
As an English as a foreign language (EFL) teacher, you'll teach English from kindergarten to secondary student (from 3-18 years old) whose first or main language is not English.
You'll use a range of course books and materials, plus a variety of audio-visual aids, to encourage students to communicate using the structures and vocabulary they've learned and to improve basic language skills, especially listening and speaking.
As an English as a foreign language teacher, you'll need to:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons to a range of classes and age groups
- Submit the lesson plans and student report to the English Program Leader
- Prepare and set tests, examination papers, and exercises following the school curriculum
- Mark and provide appropriate feedback on the oral and written work of the students
- Join morning activities with children and other kindergarten teachers, such as welcoming children and parents, participating in school events, parent meetings, etc. during the school time.
- Organize and get involved in social and cultural school activities such as competitions, school events, excursions, etc.
- Attend, contribute, and conduct training sessions
- Undertake administrative tasks, such as revising translation documents, school news, producing new teaching and learning materials (audio, visual resources, etc.), that are assigned by the English Academic Department
- Maintain good relationships with customers and colleagues
Requirements
- Qualifications: The teacher must have English as a second language with a university degree (Education, English, linguistics, or modern languages major is particularly useful, but not essential) and having a teaching certificate such as CELTA, TEFL, and TESOL is a plus.

- The ability to work well under pressure
- Flexible approach to work
- Cultural sensitivity, tolerance, and patience
- Work experience: Teaching kindergarten/primary/secondary children experience is preferred.
