Job Description

Taipei Montessori International School (TMIS) is a private bi-lingual elementary school in Taipei, Taiwan. TMIS was founded in 2017, the first private elementary school under the Amendment of Experimental Education Act (enacted in 2017). TMIS is an affiliate of Ms. Lam School, established in 1984. TMIS is seeking innovative and enthusiastic teachers who would like to explore and be pioneers in the field of co-teaching in a bi-lingual classroom environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Co-teaching in English with Montessori Headteacher
• Preparing curriculum and materials for lectures
• English immersion teaching in the classroom
• Work hours from 8:00 a.m. to 17:00 p.m., Monday to Friday
• Some weekend activities may be involved

Requirements and Skills

• Any certification (such as TESOL, TESL, TEFL, or ESL) or at least 2 years of “Elementary English teaching” experience that can be documented by a certificate
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher
• Experience in bi-lingual schools is preferred
• Native English speaker
• Knowledge and experiences of Montessori education is preferred
• Skill in Language teaching, Music, Art, History, Biology, or Geography is preferred
• With ARC (Vailed at least 6 months), APRC or Taiwan ID documents is preferred
