Recruitment criteria:

• Qualifications:
  – Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field. Teaching certification is preferred.
  – Experience: At least 2 years of teaching experience in a school environment is preferred.
  – Language Skills: Proficient in English, with excellent communication and writing skills.
  – Knowledge: Familiarity with English language curriculum standards (such as CEFR, IELTS, or TOEFL), and an understanding of effective teaching methodologies.
  – Technical Skills: Ability to integrate technology into teaching (e.g., interactive whiteboards, learning management systems).
• Requirements:
  – Must be a native English speaker or non-native with evidence of high proficiency
  – Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  – CELTA / Trinity TESOL / IHC or equivalent / Online Teaching Certificates may be accepted
  – ESL classroom experience teaching young learners or teens required
  – Adaptability, flexibility, and cultural sensitivity
  – Able to commit until the end of the academic year

Job Description:

•  Lesson Planning and Delivery:
  – Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to students’ diverse learning styles and abilities.
  – Teach English language skills (reading, writing, listening, and speaking) in accordance with the school’s curriculum and academic standards.
  – Use a variety of instructional methods, including technology, discussions, and project-based learning to make lessons interactive.
•  Assessment and Evaluation:
  – Prepare and administer tests, quizzes, and assignments to assess students’ language proficiency and progress.
  – Provide timely and constructive feedback on student work.
  – Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress, preparing reports for parents and school administrators as needed.
•  Classroom Management:
  – Establish and maintain a positive and disciplined learning environment.
  – Enforce classroom rules and manage student behavior effectively to create a productive learning atmosphere.
• Student Support:
  – Identify students who need additional support and provide one-on-one or small group assistance.
  – Foster a supportive environment that encourages students to express themselves and practice their language skills confidently.
  – Communicate regularly with colleagues regarding student progress, behavior, and any areas of concern.
•  Curriculum Development:
  – Collaborate with colleagues to review and enhance the English curriculum.
  – Adapt lessons and teaching materials based on students’ needs and learning objectives.
•  Professional Development:
  – Stay updated on best practices, new teaching strategies, and educational technologies by attending workshops, conferences, or pursuing further education.
  – Collaborate with fellow teachers to share resources, ideas, and strategies for effective teaching.
•  Extracurricular Activities:
  – Organize or assist in extracurricular activities such as English clubs, drama productions, debates, or competitions to enhance language learning outside the classroom.
•  Administrative Duties:
  – Maintain attendance records, prepare progress reports, and complete required administrative tasks on time.
  – Participate in staff meetings, workshops, and school functions as needed.
