We are looking for one  IGCSE teacher  and one ALEVEL Chemistry Teacher in our high school in Xiamen

*Teaching position: IGCSE teacher in High school / A level Chemistry teacher in High school

- Students age : 16-18 years old

- Location : Xiamen where is near the sea

- Start date : Feb. 2025

- The type of the job: Full time

Job Responsibilities:

*Teaching and Curriculum Planning:

- Develop and implement teaching plans for IGCSE and ALEVEL Chemistry courses.

- Ensure that the content taught meets international education standards and the school's curriculum guidelines.

- Regularly update and improve teaching materials to adapt to the latest educational trends and student needs.

*Student Assessment:

- Regularly assess students through quizzes, lab reports, and final examinations.

- Provide timely and constructive feedback to help students understand their progress and areas for improvement.

*Classroom Management:

 - Maintain classroom discipline and foster a positive, respectful, and encouraging learning environment.

- Manage and supervise student behavior in the classroom to ensure all students can participate and benefit from teaching activities.

*Student Guidance and Support:

- Offer personalized learning support to help students overcome academic challenges.

- Mentor students in scientific inquiry and research projects to develop their critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

*Professional Development:

- Participate in teacher training and professional development activities organized by the school.

- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and continuously improve teaching quality.

*School Activities and home-school communication Engagement:

- Participate in or organize extracurricular activities and clubs related to science, such as science competitions and exhibitions.

- Maintain good communication with parents and guardians and participate in parent-teacher meetings and other school events.

*Administrative Duties:

- Complete teaching plans, student reports, and other administrative documents as required by the school on time.

- Participate in school teaching meetings and department meetings to provide input and suggestions for school development.

Basic Requirements:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field.

- At least 2 years of relevant teaching experience, with experience in IGCSE and ALEVEL teaching preferred.

- Hold a teaching qualification certificate, such as PGCE or other internationally recognized teaching qualifications.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work in a multicultural environment and respect students from different cultural backgrounds.

- Proficiency in English, able to use it as a language of instruction.
